Spring is here, it seems like everyone in town is outside at every opportunityā from sunshine to snowstorm and everything in between. The buttercups are the early bloomers here, popping up on sunny hillsides to bring some sweet yellow petals of happiness our way. Soon itāll be full on wildflower season and we wonāt have enough hours in the day to take advantage of all the activities out there! Iām excited for this season of You Get-sy. I have some great profiles of folks who are excited to share their everyday wears with you lined up, so look forward to those in your inbox once or twice a month. Iāve got a quick March roundup for you today along with some spring dreaming inspiration. Donāt hesitate to let me know what you need recommendations for or anything else you want to share!
Hope youāre enjoying this return to sun and light as much as we are here in Montana.
March Roundup
Weāve been busy with a big home move and traveling to visit family this last month and so my time to spend on this monthās roundup was limited. Below are some great recommendations of what Iāve been reading and wearing throughout the chaos.
š Reading
I read three page-turners over spring break when we traveled to Virginia, and I highly recommend all three! I loved each one and couldnāt put them down. It turns out that friendsā of mine read the same books over break as well and we spent a large chunk of an evening at a fundraiser talking about how great they were!
The first was a book our bookclub read this month, I Cheerfully Refuse, by Leif Enger. I loved the Lake Superior setting of this book paired with a slightly-dystopian storyline. It had adventure, great prose, suspense, and characters you want to root for. āāāā/5
The second was Thirty Below: The Harrowing and Heroic Story of the First All-Women's Ascent of Denali by Missoulian, Cassidy Randall. This story is about the first all female team to climb Denali, and I was RIVETED. History, adventure, and excellent storytelling all combine to make you want to stay up far past bedtime to hear the harrowing tales of these women. āāāāā/5
The third was Wild Dark Shore by Charlotte McConaghy. Another novel set in the not-so-distant future, this one takes place on a small island near Antarctica. It addresses issues of climate change, familiesā both chosen and not, and fantastic detail about the natural world. I loved the surprising twists and turns it took, and I loved the characters even more. āāāā/5
š Wearing
At some point last fall or winter a friend asked me if I had any recommendations for underwear, which I think is really a pretty personal preference, and I didnāt have a great answer for her, until now. As youāll see from the price, theyāre a significant investment and probably not for everyone, but the Simply Merino High Waisted Underwear are phenomenally comfortable and durable. Theyāve become the only ones I want to wear, and I love the colors. You might think, do I really need merino underwear? and here is your answer & justification for investing in these, straight from the source:
Why Merino wool underwear? Wicks away any moisture, quick drying, breathable, odor & stain resistant, hypoallergenic and keeps your cramp areas warm when menstruating.
I wash in the machine on cold and hang to dry. Ten out of ten, highly recommend.
Another garment Iāve worn around the clock since buying is this Everlane Boxy Oxford. It is perfectly oversized when you buy it in your usual size, is perfectly structured for everyday wear, and is perfect for so many different occasions. Wear it with black pants for drinks out or as a cover up on that beach vacation youāre taking (or dreaming of taking).
Finally, Iāve been wearing these sweats more than I should be, given theyāre definitely meant for being cozy and lounging. These are wildly soft, perfectly slouchy, and beyond comfortable for every day wear. Youāll find me in them all day long, from preschool drop off to dance rehearsal. Iām sure you can find a reason you need them too. :)

Spring Dreaming
The change of seasons always has me daydreaming of sunny warm adventures to come, and here are some of the things Iāve saved (generally clockwise from top left) in the name of spring.
I love the drape and color of these Mountain Hardwear Shorts; a bike bag to carry snacks for spring rides; dreaming of this dress to ring in my 40th this year; a pair of runners to go from trail to town; retro-inspired Boston Whaler sweater for chilly nightsā with a great pocket so your valuables donāt fall in the water!; a perfect shirt from a favorite company; a running belt that is so well designed Iām tempted to start trail running again; a wildflower bike top for the start of wildflower season; Death Valley Nails always nails it with seasonal shades; a set of Penco storage containers for all the spring organizing; this Rockrydge Pant as recommended by Hilary Oliver; a banger of a hat from Colorado cool kids, Strafe; I dream of a home and beach full of Peace Towels; love the two-toned orange orange kicks from Arcāteryx; the designers at Maap always nail it with their cycling gear.
As always, thanks for reading!! Until next time, xo.
OMG how have I not known about Ostroy?? Thanks, as always, for the awesome recommendations. Hope you're enjoying ALL THE FLOWERS :)
How did I not know about your Stack?!
