“You should really share these things,” is a refrain I’ve heard over and over recently, and so, I figured even if the only person to read this is one of my biggest hype women and dear friend, Jodi, it might be worth giving it a shot! I really enjoy connecting with others (you, reader!), and I think this will be a great way of sharing some things in my world that I enjoy.
This idea is entirely a work in progress, so expect plenty of changes to come your way as I figure it all out. It is hard to say what these recommendations might encompass, but expect anything from [books I’m reading my toddler] to [places I’ve visited] to [clothes I’m eyeing].

Clark Fork Organics Farmstand
November in Western Montana is traditionally grey, rainy, and cool to frigid, and yesterday morning was no exception. Before heading to brunch at the Moon Randolph Homestead, my daughter and I packed up in the car to visit the Clark Fork Organics Farmstand to grab some late season veggies. Today’s visit is probably one of the last of the season, but it was full of crops you’d expect in late summer- tomatoes, bell peppers, & shishitos were found among other late season storage veggies like cabbage, leeks, and garlic. We snagged some homemade squash muffins and a loaf of sourdough and loaded up on veggies for the week.
CFO is a wonderful farm, run by Kim Murchison (until recently- happy retirement, Kim!), that I worked at for a season ten years ago and has been a part of my life ever since. I have fond memories of cutting salad mix, listening to podcasts while cleaning onions, and trimming scallions to the background of Star Date on MTPR. Their produce is stunning & delicious, and their farmstand is a joy to visit. Hat downed a squash muffin before we even got back to the car and refused to put the second one down all day. Although the farm stand days are numbered this season, be sure to check it out when things start back up again in the spring- they’ve got some exciting changes in the works.

Haptic Lab Quilt Coat
I have long ogled Haptic Lab for their beautiful quilts, DIY quilt kits, and in the last few years, their quilt coats. This year they released a new batch of coats complete with small-batch ceramic buttons and generous hoods to keep the elements at bay. I snagged a pinwheel coat this fall and have barely taken it off. It is generous enough to fit layers- sweaters, light down jackets- but still fit in a tailored sort of way. This jacket is extremely warm and has even withstood small bursts of rain. The craftsmanship is impeccable and I know this will be an heirloom that I’ll pass down to my daughter when the time comes.
